Hey-Hey! It is time to announce the winners of my Halloween contest!
But before we go to the contest
I would like to ask you how was your Halloween? Did you have fun?
What kind of costime did you pick this time? How did you celebrate it?
My Halloween was pretty good, even though we stayed at home. We had 3 carved pumpkins, all cute and cheerful, and 1 tiny cutie pumpkin ^^ And as our flat is all in red-black-white-sandy colors - we even had no problems with decorating it with dark fabrics
and i cooked a lot of tasty stuff: big pumpkin pie with a witch painted on it, pumpkin cream-soup, kebabs in shape of 'witch fingers', bleeding cupcakes (cherry jam), and some fruites also served with style. Our friends came to our house and we played party games, listened to awesome music and watched some cartoons. As long as it was a workday (Thursday) - my friends couldn't afford costumes (they came to me right from their workplaces) and so i prepared a few accesoires for them like witch hats, horns and other cute stuff We all think that our small party was great, and we are still getting ready to a post-halloween masquerade party, which is going to be interesting. I am preparing a DOTA2 Death Prophet costume :3 Hope i will be in time
Now i want to know about your halloween! ^^ Tell me about that !!!
This is a boring part:
At first - i made some changes in the system, when i saw that people on dA are not really active in voting.
One of participants asked me not to create any out-of-dA poll, as long as they didn't want their artwork to be re-published anywhere else but dA. So i thought like "ok, maybe other artists wouldn't like the outside publication as well, even though it can lead them to the 1st place"
I was thinking that every piece is going to have 100+ votes, but we hardly reached 20+ for the winning one. So next time i will state it in my rules that taking part in the contest you agree that there will be several polls - here and on my other pages. As i have quite big audience - i think it is the way out.
So of course we have to change the fact that my personal vote gives you +10votes, as long as it spoils all the idea of voting. If we had more people voting - it would be useful, but this time we have to skip this part.
I also gave an extra week to our watchers, so they can see the poll and vote.
